Jin Xu

Director Of Corporate Engagement China at The Nature Conservancy

Jin Xu has extensive work experience in various roles related to corporate engagement, zero deforestation, energy, and sustainability. Jin served as the Director of Corporate Engagement China and the China Head of Global Zero Deforestation at The Nature Conservancy from 2019 to the present. Prior to that, they worked as the China Director CEO Council at The Paulson Institute from 2016 to 2019. Jin Xu also held the position of Head of Energy & Sustainability Practice, Greater China Region at Heidrick & Struggles from 2011 to 2015. Jin has previous experience at Schlumberger as Vice President of Schlumberger Business Consulting, where they were responsible for defining China strategy and managing relationships with government agencies and energy companies. Before that, they were Vice President at Arthur D. Little, where they established the Energy Practice and built the team for the China operation. Jin Xu gained expertise in market entry strategy and business development as Chief Representative and Regional Director at IHS, where they initiated the China market entry and established strategic partnerships with oil companies and gained recognition from the Chinese government.

Jin Xu obtained an MSc in Information Technology from Kingston University from 1995 to 1996. From 1999 to 2001, Jin Xu pursued an MBA degree from Imperial College London. In addition, Jin Xu obtained the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification from the International Coaching Federation in July 2022.
