Thao Nguyen

Thao Nguyen is a skilled writer and editor currently serving as an Editorial Intern at The New Republic and as a Writer for BKReader, where articles focus on local issues and wellness. Previous experience includes co-founding a BIPOC magazine as a Senior Editor at UBUNTU, and earning a grant to foster a reading culture in Vietnam through library construction. Thao has held various leadership roles, such as Managing Editor at The Hill News and President of the Association for Campus Entertainment at St. Lawrence University, while also working as a Communications Officer for Common Ground Connections. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and Neuroscience from St. Lawrence University and a high school diploma in Chemistry from Nguyen Hue High School for Gifted Students.
