Katrina Nivens, ACP, SPSM

Katrina Nivens, ACP, SPSM has over 20 years of experience in contract management. Katrina began their career in 2002 as a Senior Contract Analyst (Major Projects) for Southern Union, the successor in interest of CrossCountry Energy Services. In this role, they managed the open-to-close contracting process for six major capital construction projects worth over $1 billion. Katrina ensured successful projects and audits by creating and maintaining organized and detailed bid records, proper insurance, and well-written contracts.

In 2005, Nivens joined Kinder Morgan, Inc. as a Senior Contract Administrator. In this role, they provided contract support for large capital construction projects from planning phase through close out of AFE. Katrina simplified the RFP process and ensured inclusion of required language by developing Chinese-menu RFx and bid award templates. Katrina also led a team to review and amend 4631 contracts and achieved 97 percent of signatures within the 180-day deadline to avoid financial penalties.

Nivens then moved to Amplify Energy Corp. (successor company to Memorial Production Partners LP) in 2013 as a Contracts Manager. In this role, they negotiated commercial contracts for onshore and offshore assets and corporate requirements such as MSAs, PSA, SaaS, IT, NDAs, land brokers, recruiting, consulting, releases, and capital construction. Katrina also provided advice and guidance on contracts, policies and procedures, risk and insurance, and ensured compliance with company requirements.

Currently, Nivens is a Contract Manager at Nor-Cal Controls ES, Inc., a position they have held since 2023.

Katrina Nivens obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from LeTourneau University between 1999 and 2001, with a field of study in Business Administration and Management, General. Katrina also received a Bachelor of Science (BS) from LeTourneau University between 1985 and 1989, with a field of study in Business Administration and Management, General. In 1988, Katrina Nivens obtained a Certificate from the National Center for Paralegal Training, with a field of study in Legal Assistant/Paralegal. Additionally, they hold two certifications: Advanced Certified Paralegal - Contracts from NALA, and Senior Professional in Supply Management from Next Level Purchasing.
