Valencia Petion

Valencia Petion, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Currently working at The Opportunity Network as the Director of Human Resources since November 2022, Valencia is responsible for overseeing HR functions within the organization. Prior to this, Valencia served as the Director of Human Resources at Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement from July 2021 to March 2023, where they also held the positions of Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Associate. Valencia's role at GL Staffing as an HR Service Coordinator in 2015 involved recruitment, screening, and placement of employees for various client accounts. Valencia ensured accurate payment of hours and reviewed payout reports for accuracy. Valencia also gained experience as a Human Resources Officer at Canadia Red Cross from March 2011 to December 2014, and as a Verification Officer at Building Markets from August 2009 to March 2011, where they verified local businesses, maintained a filing system, and assisted with administrative tasks.
