Assistant Manager/multi Purpose Terminal Operations at The Port of Virginia

Diane Franklin's work experience includes various roles in the transportation and logistics industry. Diane started their career as an Office/Transportation Manager at Atlantic Wood Industries, Inc. in 1979 and held that role until 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they worked as a Dispatcher at Serv-U, Inc. In 2003, they became a Customer Service Manager at Lydall, where they managed their container operations and handled export and import business. Diane then worked at Knight Transportation as a Drivers/Customer Manager from January to June 2010. In 2005, Diane joined Virginia International Terminals, Inc. as an Administrator. In 2014, they started working at The Port of Virginia as an Assistant Manager/Multi-Purpose Terminal Operations, where they participated in the reopening and management of the PMT- Portsmouth Marine Terminals/Port of Virginia. Since August 2015, they have been responsible for handling the 64 Express Barge Service operation, which involves the movement of freight between Norfolk and Richmond using the James River Waterway.

Diane Franklin earned an Associates degree in Applied Science/Business Administration from Tidewater Community College, specializing in Medical Radiology/Ultrasound - Business. Diane completed their education at the college from 2006 to 2009.
