Shannon Cullen

Shannon Cullen has extensive experience in the publishing industry. Shannon is currently the Group Publishing Director for Children's books at The Quarto Group, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Penguin Random House UK for almost 19 years, holding various roles such as Publishing Director, Publishing Director of Ladybird, Publisher of Puffin Fiction, and more. Shannon also had experience at HarperCollins Publishers as a Desk Editor and Editorial Assistant, and at School Supplies (New Zealand) as a Textbook Coordinator. Shannon Cullen's career spans over two decades, with a focus on children's publishing.

Shannon Cullen attended Cashmere High School from 1991 to 1995. Shannon then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Canterbury, graduating in 1998. In 2000, they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Publishing from the University of the Arts London. In 2019, Shannon participated in a program called "Preparing for Opportunity (Talent Management Bertelsmann)" at INSEAD.
