Lauren Witherspoon

Lauren Witherspoon has had a diverse work experience in the media industry. Lauren began their career as a reporter for The Craigmillar Chronicle from 2009 to 2011. Lauren then moved on to work as a reporter and crime reporter for The Dundee Evening Telegraph from 2012 to 2013. Lauren continued their career at STV Group plc, where they served as an Online Production Journalist from 2013 to 2015 and later as a Production Journalist in 2015. Currently, they are employed at The R&A, initially starting as a Digital Content Manager in 2016 and later transitioning to the position of Head of R&A Content and Productions in 2022.

Lauren Witherspoon completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Biomedicine from The University of Dundee from 2005 to 2009. Lauren then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Napier University, which they completed from 2009 to 2012. Prior to their university education, Lauren attended Castlebrae Community High School from 1999 to 2005. No specific degree or field of study at the high school level is provided.
