Wil McCray, PhD, MEng, serves as the Data Science Leader and Program Manager at The Research Foundation for SUNY since November 2019. Prior to this role, McCray worked as a Big Data Clinical Research Scientist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from October 2017 to November 2019, contributing to data-driven oncology and cardiology research studies alongside the Veterans Health Administration and the NIH's National Cancer Institute. McCray's earlier experience includes positions as Technical Advisor at the University at Buffalo's Institute for Healthcare Informatics, VP Engineering & Sr. Principal Consultant at Process Governance Consulting Group, and Principal IT Consultant at Tata Consultancy Services, as well as various engineering roles at Lockheed Martin. McCray holds a Ph.D. in Systems Science with a focus on Software and Systems Engineering from Binghamton University and a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management and Operations Research, along with a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Big Data-Scientist Training Enhancement Program from the University at Buffalo.
