The Roskamp Institute
Andrew Pearson is a Postdoctoral Scientist at The Roskamp Institute since May 2022, focusing on the molecular targets of drugs derived from thieno[2,3-b]pyridine by utilizing copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition and various bioinformatics techniques. Previously, Andrew conducted M.Sc thesis research at Keele University in 2017 and served as an Administrative Assistant at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2016, where responsibilities included supporting engineers and clinical scientists in medical equipment maintenance and ensuring proper logistics for hospital supplies. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Cell and Tissue Engineering from Keele University and a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Chester.
The Roskamp Institute
The Roskamp Institute is devoted to understanding causes of and finding cures for neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and addictions. Based in Sarasota, Florida, the Institute utilizes a broad range of scientific approaches to understanding the causes of and potential therapies for these disorders with an emphasis on Alzheimer's disease. Headed by Dr. Michael Mullan and Dr. Fiona Crawford, the institute employs experienced and interdisciplinary scientists and technicians and houses state-of-the-art research labs and equipment to conduct scientific research.
