Eduard Coetzee PhD has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Eduard began their career as a Professional Rugby Player, playing for the Blue Bulls Company and eventually moving on to play for Aviron Bayonnais Rugby Pro and Biarritz Olympique Pays Basque. In 2001, they joined The Sharks (Pty) Ltd as a Professional Rugby Player and later transitioned into a role as Commercial & Marketing Manager. Eduard then moved on to Crédit Agricole Mutuel Pyrénées Gascogne as a Bank Prive before becoming a Director and Financial Advisor at PFL Financial Services. In 2017, they took on the role of Director at IMI Signalwealth. Currently, Eduard serves as the Chief Executive Officer of The Sharks, overseeing operational functions and player recruitment while also managing the Sharks Academy.

Eduard Coetzee earned a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from Geneva Business School from 2021 to 2024. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2019, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Management Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. In 2016, they completed a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Inclusive Innovation from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, focusing on Business Model Innovation.

For their further professional development, Coetzee completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning at Milpark School of Financial Services in 2015 and obtained a National Certificate in Financial Planning – NQF 6 from the same institution in 2013.

In 2011 and 2012, they pursued studies in French Banking and Financial Support Services, earning a degree from the Credit Agricole Pyrenees Gascogne Academy. Additionally, they completed the First Level Regulatory Exams: Representatives at the Moonstone Business School of Excellence in the same year.
