Megan Bourassa, PhD, currently serves as the Program Lead for the Micronutrient Data Innovation Alliance (DInA) at the Micronutrient Forum since May 2022, and holds the position of Board Member and Treasurer for The Society for Implementation Science in Nutrition (SISN) since January 2019. Previously, from September 2016 to April 2022, Megan was the Director of Nutrition Science at The New York Academy of Sciences, where roles also included Associate Director and Program Manager. Experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Burke-Cornell Medical Research Institute involved examining transcriptional mechanisms of neuroprotection related to HDAC inhibitors in neurodegenerative diseases. Earlier research at Brookhaven National Laboratory focused on the impact of metals in neurodegenerative diseases using mouse models of Alzheimer's disease. Educational background includes a PhD in Chemistry (Chemical Biology) from Stony Brook University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry, Psychology, and Mathematics from Pacific Lutheran University.
