Partnerships Creative at The Spinoff

Matthew McAuley is currently the Partnerships Creative at The Spinoff. Prior to that, they worked as an Account Manager at VICE Media from April 2018 to April 2019. Matthew's duties there included advertising sales, content concepts, client service, event management, talent wrangling, coffee buying, and making dank krautrock playlists for the office Sonos. Matthew also regularly wrote music content and interviews for the site, and even took some photos once.

From March 2016 to April 2018, Matthew worked as a Digital Planner/Buyer at MediaCom. Matthew's duties there included writing and subediting blog content; producing and editing video content for the company's YouTube channel; monitoring and reporting site analytics; curating social feeds; and contributing to Movio's digital marketing strategy.

Before that, they were a Content Producer at Movio from November 2015 to January 2016. Matthew's duties there included writing and subediting blog content; producing and editing video content for the company's YouTube channel; monitoring and reporting site analytics; curating social feeds; and contributing to Movio's digital marketing strategy.

Matthew has also worked as a Creative Copywriter at GrabOne from April 2014 to November 2015. And before that, they were a Library Assistant at Auckland Libraries from June 2011 to April 2014.

Matthew McAuley completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Musicology and Ethnomusicology at the University of Otago.
