Lou Chapman

Associate Director, Content at The Starr Conspiracy

Lou Chapman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 1988, Lou worked as a reporter for The New York Observer, covering news media and writing general assignment articles. From 1989 to 1998, Lou worked as a reporter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, focusing on health and human services and receiving a Pulitzer Prize nomination in 1992. Afterward, Lou served as a Senior Consultant at PartnerComm, Inc., managing projects and writing for clients such as Starbucks and Frito-Lay. In 2006, Lou pursued a career in photography and owned Lou Chapman Photography, specializing in art photography. Lou also worked as a yoga instructor at Grand Prairie, Texas YMCA, Indigo Yoga, and Urban Yoga - Fort Worth. In 2007, Lou started Lou Chapman Works, working as the owner, and in 2010, Lou joined The Starr Conspiracy as a Content Specialist before advancing to Practice Leader and eventually Associate Director of Content.

Lou Chapman has a diverse education history. In 1976, they obtained a Certificate in German from the U.S. Dept. of Defense Language Institute. From 1978 to 1980, Lou pursued a Bachelor's degree in English, with concentrations in both Modern American Science and Modern American History, from Metropolitan State University of Denver. In 1981, they attended Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism, where they earned both an M.S. and a Masters Degree in Journalism.
