Core Purpose
The Relationship Manager serves as the primary contact for clients and is responsible for delivering TTC’s client promise and building strong individual, family, and company relationships. While demonstrating a thorough knowledge of services, this position will also focus on achieving performance standards, maintaining a culture of outstanding service, and developing new business across The Trust Company of Tennessee.

Responsibilities
▪ Shows a commitment to The Trust Company’s Mission, Core Values, and Client Promise.
▪ Proactively serves clients by understanding their goals, knowing their preferences, and anticipating their needs. Our
clients are the reason we exist!
▪ Manages and builds relationships with key decision makers. Approaches each situation in a consultative manner to
become their trusted advisor.
▪ Schedules periodic plan review meetings with plan sponsors being inquisitive about their situation, introducing plan
design changes when appropriate, and providing relevant updates.
▪ Identifies opportunities where The Trust Company can provide additional services to existing clients collaborating
with appropriate team members with specialized knowledge.
▪ Prospects new business and builds relationships with centers of influence.
▪ Gains familiarity with current economic headlines translates what they mean to clients.
▪ Has advanced knowledge of retirement plan concepts and is able to communicate topics such as plan design and
annual testing in an easily understandable manner.
▪ Works with our internal operations teams on client related tasks for plans where we provide record-keeping and
administrative services.
▪ Coordinates service with third parties for plans where we work with external record-keepers,
▪ Oversees employee communication efforts by coordinating the scheduling of enrollment meetings and participant
education/advice with Client Specialists.
▪ Learns and utilizes internal programs to facilitate client management and accomplish tasks.
▪ Provides meeting minutes (or follow-up summary) for all client review meetings and follow-through on all postmeeting tasks timely.
▪ Responds to both external and internal tasks with a sense of urgency.
▪ Escalates issues to Team Lead or Senior Management as appropriate.
▪ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
▪ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
▪ 3-5 years of experience in the retirement plan or investment industry preferred.
▪ Have advanced industry credentials (QKA, RPA, etc.) or be willing to pursue retirement plan certifications.
▪ Strong written and verbal communication skills
▪ Ability to work with a wide range of client personalities and demographics
▪ Experience with high-net-worth clients a plus
▪ Organized and detail-oriented
▪ Must be able to multi-task and prioritize multiple deadlines
