Director Of The Nuclear Medicine Institute at The University of Findlay

Eric Hertenstein, MBA, CNMT, NMTCB(CT), PET, RT(CT)(ARRT) has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and radiologic sciences industry. Currently, they are serving as the Director of the Nuclear Medicine Institute, Director of the Master of Science in Radiologic Sciences Program, and Assistant Professor of Teaching in Nuclear Medicine at The University of Findlay. Eric is responsible for overseeing the PET/CT program, coordinating clinical operations, and instructing students in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT. Additionally, they hold the position of Assistant RSO and has been associated with the university since January 2014.

Prior to their current roles, Eric worked as a PET/CT Validation Engineer at Philips Healthcare in 2013. Eric was responsible for validating PET/CT imaging systems. In the same year, they also served as a PET/CT Technologist at Fort Wayne Radiology- PET Fusion Imaging.

In 2012, they worked as a Job Developer at Capabilities, Inc., where they helped individuals with employment opportunities. Earlier in their career, they served as a PET/CT intern at St. Rita's Medical Center from December 2011 to August 2012. Here, they gained clinical competencies for PET and CT certifications, performed PET/CT and diagnostic CT scans, and managed radiopharmaceuticals and imaging systems.

Prior to entering the healthcare field, Eric worked as a Licensed Sales Representative at Western & Southern Financial Group from 2010 to 2011. Eric began their career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Student) at St. Luke's Hospital from December 2008 to August 2009.

Eric Hertenstein's extensive background in nuclear medicine, PET/CT imaging, and teaching demonstrates their expertise and dedication in the field.

Eric Hertenstein has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from The University of Findlay, which they obtained between 2006 and 2009. Eric later pursued further education at Owens Community College, where they obtained a Certificate in Computed Tomography in 2011. In 2012, Eric earned another BS degree from The University of Findlay, this time in Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT). Continuing their education, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Findlay between 2014 and 2016. Most recently, Eric is in the process of completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Health Science at Nova Southeastern University, which they began in 2017. Eric Hertenstein also holds additional certifications as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, a PET technologist, and an RT (CT) (ARRT) from respective institutions.
