Shelly Townsend Morant

Shelly Townsend Morant has extensive experience in library and education services, currently serving as a Library Technician at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke since January 2018 and as Branch Manager at Robeson County Public Library since July 2016. Additionally, Shelly holds the position of Innovative Technology Facilitator with the NC Innovative School District from September 2019 to August 2024. Past roles include Executive Assistant and Student Advocate at UNC Pembroke from 2001 to 2013 and Logistics Management Specialist at the Federal Aviation Administration from June 1982 to July 2002. Shelly earned a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Walden University (2010-2021) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mass Communications and Public Relations from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (2005-2008). Prior educational pursuits included studies in Criminal Justice at North Carolina Central University.
