Worship Residency Details

This is a support-raised, full-time position from August 6, 2024 – July 31, 2026. If you are interested in this opportunity and meet the qualifications below, click the Apply To Position button. Position Summary

The Worship Resident is responsible for planning service flow and leading worship for a variety of church events, as well as contributing to the development and shepherding of volunteers within the Worship Ministry

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead vocally or instrumentally in various ministry settings
  • Participate in the planning of services and scheduling of volunteers in various ministry settings
  • Contribute positively to volunteer shepherding, development, care, and culture
  • Participate in songwriting and content creation
  • Implement feedback and accomplish development goals provided by supervisor
  • Active involvement in the life of TVC, including staff meetings and events

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership and Statement of Faith and commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with the same.
  • High school diploma required
  • Musical proficiency (*Vocal and/or guitar and/or piano)
  • Leadership aptitude and experience
  • Technological aptitude and interest (programs such as Google Suite, Planning Center Online, Multitracks/Playback, Logic/DAW, etc.)
  • Ability to work within the context of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable

*Any one of these musical requirements OR combinations will be considered. Vocalists are not required to play an instrument, and instrumentalists are not required to sing if willing to be developed toward an MD role.
