Erwin Latief

Erwin Latief has a diverse and extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Erwin currently holds the position of Director of Rooms at The Village Dallas since March 2021. Prior to this, they served as the General Manager of Crescent Club at Hotel Crescent Court from April 2018 to July 2020.

Erwin Latief's previous role at SUN Group Inc, Jakarta and Bali - Indonesia was as the Senior Director of Operations and Owner Representative from January 2012 to December 2017. Erwin was responsible for overseeing operations in various sectors such as gas/oil, mining, hotels, restaurants, and specialty supermarkets.

During their 13-year tenure at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts starting from February 1998 to November 2011, Erwin Latief held multiple leadership positions including Club Director, Training Manager, Human Resources Manager, Spa Manager, and Head Butler. Erwin was also part of the Pre-Opening Task Force Opening Team for several locations such as Jakarta, Jeddah, Tokyo, Miami, and Playa Del Carmen.

Before that, they worked as a Training Coordinator at Grand Hyatt from April 1997 to October 1997. Erwin also worked as an Administrative Officer at IMI International Management Institute Switzerland from August 1993 to August 1994. Erwin Latief started their career in the hospitality industry as a Front Desk Agent at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) from January 1990 to July 1991.

Erwin Latief pursued their education in a methodical manner, beginning with a Hotel Diploma in Rooms Management from Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung (NHI) from 1987 to 1990. Seeking to further expand their knowledge, they went on to pursue a BSc. in Hotel Management from IMI International Management Institute Switzerland between 1992 and 1993. Not content with just one degree, they then attended Oxford Brookes University from 1994 to 1995 to obtain a Master's Degree in International Hospitality Management.
