Jessica Borger

Dr. Jessica Borger, PhD, currently serves as the Scientific Education Program Leader at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, where responsibilities include coordinating Honours, Masters, and PhD programs, as well as developing professional development resources for graduate students. In addition, Dr. Borger holds the position of Immunology Futures Editor for the Immunology & Cell Biology journal, where timely articles are curated to facilitate discussions among early-career researchers. As Graduate Research Coordinator and Honorary Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Dr. Borger oversees PhD student candidature within the Department of Medical Biology. Previous experience includes roles such as Graduate Course Convenor at Monash University, where involvement in educational programs focused on translational research, and extensive postdoctoral research across various institutions, including studies on CAR-T therapy and T cell signaling dynamics. Dr. Borger earned a PhD in Immunology from UCL and has a background in drug discovery for Hepatitis C, highlighting a robust career in both academic research and scientific education.
