Matthew van Norton

Matthew Van Norton has extensive experience in stadium operations and security management within professional sports organizations. Currently serving as Director of Security & Transportation for the Washington Commanders since July 2022, Matthew previously held various roles at the Oakland Athletics from January 2012 to July 2022, culminating in the position of Senior Manager of Stadium Operations. Early career experiences include positions at the Atlanta Braves, Brooklyn Nets, and New York Yankees, providing a foundation in facility operations and guest services. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Sports Management from Bowling Green State University, attending from 2006 to 2010, after graduating from Conestoga High School in 2006.
