Hasmig Mahshigian

Director Of Finance And Operations at The Woods Academy

Hasmig Mahshigian has a strong background in finance and operations. Hasmig started their career in 1986 as a Systems Engineer/Consultant at Arthur Young and Company, where they focused on financial and information management systems for government agencies. Hasmig then moved on to Cincinnati Bell Information Systems as a Technical Consultant, specializing in the integration of financial management systems with tele-management systems.

In 1989, Mahshigian became the Chief Financial Officer at Color Masters Enterprises, responsible for managing the company's budget and overseeing all accounting functions. Hasmig then joined Coopers and Lybrand as the Manager of the National Tax Technology group, where they led efforts to streamline corporate tax and accounting departments and implemented systems solutions for clients.

In 1997, Mahshigian joined PeopleSoft Inc as an Engagement/Project Manager, where they successfully managed the implementation of the PeopleSoft suite of financial products for local clients. Hasmig later joined The Reznick Group as a Tax Senior, specializing in real estate partnership ventures and low-income housing credit transactions.

Since 2005, Mahshigian has been serving as the Director of Finance and Operations at The Woods Academy, where they are responsible for all aspects of financial management, budgeting, purchasing, and legal and tax compliance. Hasmig also serves as an ex-officio member of the Board's finance, investment, and buildings and grounds committees.

Throughout their career, Mahshigian has gained extensive experience in financial management, tax services, project management, and technology consulting.

Hasmig Mahshigian obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland from 1982 to 1986. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Taxation at Georgetown University from 1988 to 1990.
