Marcelo Paris, CPA, MBA has extensive work experience in financial management and accounting. Marcelo started their career at Garutti Public Accounting, CPA, where they served as a Partner for several years. During this time, they developed audit plans, evaluated accounting operations, and coordinated field work. Marcelo also performed various audit functions, including testing financial accounts and ensuring the implementation of controls.

After their tenure at Garutti Public Accounting, Marcelo joined TIM as a Corporate Controller. In this role, they were responsible for all accounting, finance, and planning activities. Marcelo created and implemented a long-term business plan and conducted cash flow analysis and product evaluations.

Subsequently, Marcelo worked at WCI Communities as a Finance Manager, where they oversaw accounting, financial reporting, and planning functions for the company's Southeast Florida towers. Marcelo managed the department to ensure compliance with SEC regulations and supervised the accounts payable department for 15 separate companies.

Marcelo then joined Intermex Wire Transfer, LLC as a Corporate Controller. Marcelo successfully led and managed all financial functions for the Miami and Latin American offices. Marcelo also reviewed and updated administrative procedures and coordinated with subsidiary finance departments to ensure accurate reporting.

Next, Marcelo served as Finance Director and CFO at Skillus. In this role, they directed the organization's financial operations, including consolidation, budgeting, and reporting. Marcelo also collaborated with banks to raise capital for expansion activities and worked closely with regional finance leaders in Latin America.

Most recently, Marcelo worked at The Highland Group as the Americas and EMEA Group Controller. Marcelo coordinated financial reporting, consolidation, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties for the entire region. Marcelo also managed the bank relationship and collaborated with the legal team to address tax and regulatory issues.

Marcelo Paris, CPA, MBA, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Marcelo then went on to earn an MBA from COPPEAD UFRJ, School of Business, in 2003. In 2007, Marcelo graduated from a CPA program. Marcelo obtained a CPA certification in Brazil from the State of São Paulo in December 1991, and later obtained a CPA certification from the State of Virginia in November 2007.
