Michele Cooley

Michele Cooley has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Michele is currently working as the Director of Course Operations at Themis Bar Review, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Midwest Director (IN, MO) at the same company since May 2022.

Before joining Themis Bar Review, Cooley was the Owner of M. Cooley Photography starting from February 2011.

From December 2021 to May 2022, Cooley worked at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where they served as the Interim Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. Before that, they held various positions at the same institution, including Assistant Dean of Academic and Bar Success from July 2021 to May 2022, Director of Academic and Bar Success from August 2017 to July 2021, and Associate Director for Student Affairs from March 2016 to July 2017.

Cooley also worked as Of Counsel, Contract Attorney at McAnlis Law LLC from July 2015 to March 2016. Prior to that, they served as Vice President and Counsel at Pedcor Companies from December 2011 to July 2015.

Earlier in their career, Cooley worked as an Attorney at Skiles DeTrude from April 2008 to December 2011, focusing on complex litigation and insurance defense. Michele also served as an Adjunct Instructor at IUPUI from May 2009 to December 2010, teaching various law-related courses.

Additionally, Cooley gained experience as a Staff Attorney at the Indiana Supreme Court Division of State Court Administration in 2010, where they handled ethical misconduct complaints against Indiana judges. Michele started their legal career as an Associate Attorney at Allen Wellman McNew from December 2006 to March 2008, handling a variety of civil litigation cases.

Michele Cooley attended McCutcheon High School from 1992 to 1996. After completing high school, they enrolled at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Management from 1996 to 2000. Following their undergraduate studies, Michele attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law from 2000 to 2003, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Later, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing at Butler University from 2013 to 2017.
