Gene Campbell is an accomplished leader in engineering and product development with extensive experience in the biotechnology and scientific instrumentation sectors. At Thermo Fisher Scientific since April 2014, Gene has held several senior director positions, guiding large teams in the development and validation of innovative instruments and consumables across various applications, including capillary electrophoresis and digital PCR. Prior experience includes directing instrument development at Molecular Devices, co-founding Glimmerglass Networks, and serving as a physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where Gene developed high-precision interferometers. Gene's academic background includes a PhD and MS in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona, along with a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.
