Mike Kovacevic has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Mike started their career at Rogers Communications as an NQA Associate, where they enhanced monitoring methods and conducted analysis on cable flap-list modem data and Video On Demand errors. Mike then worked as a Computing Assistant at the University of Waterloo before joining SAP as a Mobile Application Developer.
Afterwards, Mike worked as a Technical Lead at Intersoft, where they contributed their expertise for a few months. Following that, they co-founded Globality, a startup that helps local businesses expand internationally. At Globality, Mike played a key role in developing the company's social networking platform.
Mike later joined TextNow as a Backend Software Developer and quickly moved up the ranks to become a Lead Software Developer and eventually the Head of Development. During their time at TextNow, Mike designed and implemented components of a scalable cloud-based telephony platform, created an automated testing harness, and mentored junior developers.
Mike's next venture was at Shopify, where they worked as a Staff Developer. Mike led the development of a merchant dashboard analytics tool, played a significant role in enhancing the performance and scalability of the Shopify Flow automation engine, and drove operational excellence.
Currently, Mike is a Staff Developer at theScore, a role they started in 2023.
Mike Kovacevic attended the University of Waterloo from 2009 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering.
