Joe Sitomer obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology from Binghamton University between 1974 and 1979. Joe then went on to receive their Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan between 1979 and 1981. In 2014, they obtained a Black Belt in Hayashi Ha Shito Ryu Karate from the Washington Karate Association.
