Bayo Ojikutu is a seasoned author and educator with extensive experience in creative writing and literature. Currently serving as an author at Fiction since 2003, Ojikutu has published notable works including the novels "Free Burning" and "47th Street Black." In parallel, Ojikutu has been a Visiting Writer and Instructor at DePaul University since 2003, teaching a diverse range of courses from creative writing to literature across various academic levels. Ojikutu also lectured at the University of Chicago Graham School from 2007 to 2017, leading advanced workshops and designing curriculum for creative writing courses. Additional teaching roles include a Visiting Writer position at Roosevelt University and a Visiting Lecturer role at the University of Chicago, focusing on long-form manuscripts and humanities coursework. Ojikutu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
