Nico Garbaccio

Nico Garbaccio has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2023, they worked as a Senior Associate QA Engineer at Thinx Inc. Prior to that, in the same year, they held the role of Senior Curriculum & Instruction Manager at Code Nation, where they led the development and improvement of the organization's curriculum. In 2021-2022, Nico worked as a Program Manager and Community Engagement Lead at Code Nation, overseeing multiple high school sites and designing learning modules for volunteer instructors.

From 2016 to 2021, Nico had various roles at 826NYC/Brooklyn Superhero Supply Company, including Programs & Volunteer Manager, Senior Program Coordinator, and Programs & Events Associate. During this time, they developed literacy programs, taught writing workshops, and managed teams. In 2016, Nico also worked as an After School Coordinator and Assistant STEAM Teacher at Blue School, where they built and managed the After School program.

Additionally, Nico has experience as a Teaching Associate at Citizen Schools, a Substitute Teacher at Waldwick Public Schools, and an Editorial Intern at Fischler Hockey Service.

Nico Garbaccio attended the Flatiron School in 2022, where they studied Computer Software Engineering. Prior to that, Nico pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree at Ramapo College of New Jersey, majoring in Communication Arts and Journalism. Additionally, they studied English/Language Arts Teacher Education at the same institution. Nico has also obtained various certifications in SQL (Basic and Intermediate) and JavaScript (Basic and Intermediate) from HackerRank, with the certifications being completed in 2023.
