Director Of Development And Community Engagement at Thistle Farms

Tara Hamilton has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tara started their career as a Development Assistant at First Things First in 2002 and then worked as an Administrative Assistant at Camp Vesper Point in 2003. In 2009, they transitioned to being a Homeschool Educator, where they served as a Teacher until 2012.

Tara then joined Regions Financial Corporation in 2012, where they worked as a Vault Teller until 2013 and later became an Equity Loan Processor from 2013 to 2014. Following this, they worked at Vanderbilt University as a Leadership Annual Giving Assistant from 2014 to 2015 and as a Program Coordinator for Volunteer Outreach for Law School and Owen Graduate School of Management from 2015 to 2017.

In 2017, Tara was appointed as the Director of Corporate Relations at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) and focused on corporate development and sponsorship activities until 2018. Tara then joined Thistle Farms as the Director of Development and Community Engagement in 2018, where they were responsible for building and maintaining relationships with donors and community partners.

Tara's work experience showcases their expertise in development, community engagement, corporate relations, volunteer outreach, and program coordination.

Tara Hamilton earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human Ecology with a focus on Child and Family Studies from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Tara attended from 1998 to 2002.

Later on, they pursued a Master's degree in Strategic Fundraising and Philanthropy at Bay Path University, attending from 2015 to 2017.
