Senior Vice President, System Associate Chief Nurse Executive at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals

Dr. Stacey-Ann Okoth has extensive work experience in the field of nursing and healthcare administration. Dr. Stacey-Ann currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, System Associate Chief Nurse Executive at Jefferson Health since February 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer-Abington/Lansdale Division at Jefferson Health from July 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining Jefferson Health, Dr. Okoth worked at UPMC as the Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President, Patient Care Services for UPMC Altoona & UPMC Bedford. Dr. Stacey-Ann held this position from March 2018 to July 2021. UPMC is a $21 billion healthcare provider and insurer known for its patient-centered, cost-effective, and accountable care models.

Dr. Okoth also gained experience as an Associate Vice President at Geisinger from April 2017 to March 2018. Geisinger is a Catholic community health system that provides a wide range of medical services and creates partnerships with local and national organizations.

Prior to Geisinger, Dr. Okoth served as the House Manager at Penn State Health from 2013 to 2018. Dr. Stacey-Ann also worked as the Director of Nursing Operations at WellSpan Health from 2012 to 2017.

Dr. Okoth's career started as a Nurse Leader at Kaiser Permanente starting in 2009 and ending in 2012. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University from October 2021 to the present.

Furthermore, they served as an Adjunct Professor at York College of Pennsylvania in 2014. Overall, Dr. Stacey-Ann Okoth's work experience reflects a strong background in nursing leadership and healthcare administration.

Dr. Stacey-Ann Okoth holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.N) degree in Nursing/Registered Nurse from Penn State University. Dr. Stacey-Ann also obtained a BBA/MBA degree in Business Administration and Management from Strayer University. Dr. Okoth further pursued a Master of Science (M.S.N) degree in Healthcare Systems Leadership from Jacksonville University.

In 2019, they enrolled at Old Dominion University and completed their Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Executive Leadership in 2021. Additionally, Dr. Okoth is currently working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University, which they are expected to complete in 2023.

Dr. Okoth has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including being a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), completing the Telehealth Certification program from Old Dominion University in 2020, and obtaining the Progressive Care Certified nurse (PCCN) certification from the AACN (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses) in 2015. Dr. Stacey-Ann has also achieved certifications such as Nurse Executive Advanced-Board Certified (NEA-BC) from the AACN in 2013, and Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) from the American Organization for Nursing Leadership in 2012. Additionally, they are a Registered Nurse licensed by the Florida Board of Nursing.
