Marques Petty

Marques Petty has a diverse work experience in the field of social services and foster care. Marques is currently the Director of Foster Care at Thornwell since March 2021. Prior to this, Marques worked as an MDFT Therapist at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health from July 2020 to March 2021. Marques also served as the Director of Social Services at The Bair Foundation from December 2018 to January 2020 and as the Director of Miracle Hill Boys' Shelter at Miracle Hill Ministries, Inc. from April 2017 to December 2019. Before that, they worked as a Clinical Coordinator-Director/Wrap Service Coordinator at Growing Home Southeast, Inc. from July 2012 to June 2017. Marques has also worked as a Youth Advocate at YAP Inc. from March 2011 to June 2015 and as a Vocational/Intake Specialist at RHA Behavioral Health from November 2008 to March 2015. Additionally, Marques has experience as a 2nd Shift Supervisor & Service Coordinator at Crossroads at Meadows from February 2008 to December 2010 and as a Lead Clinical Staff & Coordinator at Excalibur Youth Services from May 2004 to November 2008. Marques started their career as a Mental Health Associate at Spring Brook Behavioral Health from November 2000 to May 2005.

Marques Petty obtained a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies-English and Elementary Education from North Greenville University between the years 1999 to 2004. Marques then pursued a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University from 2004 to 2005. Finally, they completed their education by earning a Masters of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University from 2012 to 2013.
