Keith Lawless

Keith Lawless is an account manager at Thrive Internet Marketing Agency. Keith has also worked as a digital account manager for SPAR South Africa, where they helped facilitate the growth of their online following on Facebook from 22,981 to 58,799 loyal fans, almost 3X their initial audience. Keith also started the SPAR BW Instagram page which quickly rose to prominence amongst the top local retail competitors through the effective use of IG stories and using the platform as a way to highlight their CSR and community engagement projects.

A major component of their job entailed constant community management and engagement with all customers across the 28 stores locations in Botswana that interacted with the SPAR brand online. This includes communicating and integrating marketing efforts with the local PR company handling traditional above the line advertising.

Keith oversaw the execution of the annual My SPAR My Botswana campaign, running monthly contests and giveaways across their social media platforms. Keith was responsible for the paid promotion of month-end, seasonal and one day only specials driving sales in-store. Keith was also responsible for creating the content calendar, digital assets, creative, copywriting, social scheduling, analytics, and reporting of the campaigns.

Keith Lawless graduated from St Andrew's College, Grahamstown with an IEB Matric Certificate. Keith then went on to study at Rhodes University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in General Legal Studies (Undergraduate);Business, Management, Marketing, & Related services; Economics. Keith later pursued a career in brand building and brand communications, completing a course in Strategic Brand Communications from Vega School. Keith also holds certifications in Digital Content and Copywriting from The Red & Yellow Creative School of Business, Learning Google Tag Manager from LinkedIn, WordPress | Semi-Pro from Publish it Group (Pty) Ltd, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, & Illustrator CC | Semi Pro from Publish it Group (Pty) Ltd, Digital Marketing Analytics from MIT Sloan Executive Education, and Digital Marketing from USB Executive Development (Pty) Ltd.
