David Kerr-Munslow

David Kerr-Munslow has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. David is currently working as a Product Manager at Tiempo Secure since September 2022. Prior to this, David served as a Board Member (Secretary) at DASH7 Alliance from May 2019 to October 2022.

Their longest tenure was at Cortus SAS, where they worked as a Product Manager from November 2005 to September 2022. At Cortus SAS, David was involved in various key achievements, including market analysis and specification for an MCU product line, developing an IoT strategy based on DASH7, designing secure processors and managing the creation of a working FPGA demonstrator, and developing a receiver chain for DASH-7 using SDR technology.

Before joining Cortus SAS, David worked at Synopsys as a Product Architect from October 1999 to October 2005. In this role, they were responsible for supporting software for a UMTS simulation environment and test system. David also presented the technical aspects of the Bluetooth Protocol at a worldwide design services conference, winning the second-best presentation award.

David's earlier work experience includes positions at Acacia Protocol Center as an Engineer from February 1998 to October 1999, at Ericsson OMC as an Engineer from August 1995 to January 1998, at Thorn EMI as a Hardware Engineer from 1993 to 1995, and at Novus Networks as a Hardware Engineer from 1991 to 1993.

Throughout their career, David has showcased expertise in product management, market analysis, IoT strategy development, secure processors, radio communications standards, simulation environment design, and hardware design.

David Kerr-Munslow completed their O-Levels and A-Levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at The Mosslands School for Boys from 1984 to 1988. David then pursued a BEng (Hons) degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Southampton from 1988 to 1991.
