D. Ford Mennel

D. Ford Mennel is president of The Mennel Milling Company, Fostoria, Ohio, and is the fifth-generation to assume the leadership of the family business. He joined the company in 2005 and succeeded his father Donald L. Mennel as president in 2013. The Mennel Milling Company produces wheat flour, baking mixes, popcorn and other food ingredients for large consumer packaged goods companies, restaurants, foodservice and institutional consumers of their products. The company operates flour mills, bakery mix-manufacturing facilities, a popcorn plant, as well as logistics and distribution companies. The flour mills have a combined 5.8 million pounds of daily capacity which makes the company the seventh largest flour miller in the United States. Mennel earned a bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst University and an MBA from Averett University. He joined Tiffin University’s Board of Trustees in 2018.
