J. Stephen Schult

A resident of Waterville, Ohio, Stephen Schult is a CPA who has been a tax partner at the accounting firm Gilmore Jasion Mahler, Ltd. (GJM) for 20 years. GJM is the largest locally owned accounting firm in Northwest Ohio with offices in Maumee and Findlay. Prior to joining GJM, Steve spent 14 years developing his auditing and tax expertise at the Toledo office of Ernst & Young. Steve earned a BSBA (summa cum laude) with a specialization in accounting from The Ohio State University, and studied abroad at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. He has served as treasurer for the City of Waterville for the past 15 years and is currently a board member for the Boy Scouts of America Erie Shores Council. He is a past president of both the Rotary Club of Waterville, Ohio, and The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Lucas County. He is a 1992 Leadership Toledo graduate, as well as a past board member for The University of Toledo Family Business Center and a past board member and treasurer for The Victory Center, a nonprofit that assists cancer patients and their families. Schult joined TU’s Board of Trustees in 2019.
