Clearance: TS/SCI (To apply for this position, you MUST have an ACTIVE TS/SCI)

Certification(s) Required: CompTIA Security+ CE; Computing Environment Certification for Microsoft Windows 2018

The Objective:  

In this role, you will administer and maintain multiple databases. Your strengths and skills will enable you to apply functional knowledge to solve database related problems and provide recommendations and guidance on database best practices and solutions. Other responsibilities include maintaining database systems functionality, availability, security, and performance. 

Direct Compensation: $150,000 to $160,000 per year 

Total Compensation: Including incentives and benefits, $165,000 to $175,000

Role Overview:  

As an SQL Server DBA at TIME Systems, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our database infrastructure. Your expertise in SQL Server will be essential in maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of our databases. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the maintenance and security of multiple SQL databases, ensuring their integrity and availability.
  • Implement disaster recovery, performance analysis, tuning, and index maintenance strategies.
  • Support and manage SQL Server, FEITH Document Database, E-IRIS, and E-FOIA applications.
  • Administer Active Directory user accounts and manage workflow applications.
  • Provide technical support for database and application issues.
  • Conduct data transfers across various security domains (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS).
  • Develop database backup, storage, and replication strategies, ensuring data security and compliance.
  • Install, update, and manage database hardware and software, including patch management.
  • Generate comprehensive monthly reports on SQL Server usage and performance.
  • Coordinate network solutions and provide necessary support.
  • Manage SQL, DDL, DML, DCL, TCL, and DBCC statements for database administration tasks.
  • Monitor and enhance database system performance, including index optimization and database restructuring.
  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for business processes and workflows.

Requirements: 

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • MS Windows Server 2019
  • MS Windows 2010
  • Computing Environment Certification for Microsoft Windows 2018
  • In-depth knowledge of database administration, performance optimization, and security.
  • Familiarity with supporting web-based applications and portals.
  • Proficiency in SQL and other database management tools.
  • Skilled in installing, updating, and managing database-related hardware and software.
  • Ability to produce detailed database reports and analyses.
  • Knowledge of network solutions and web services support.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
