Job description

The Role Mental Health Counseling is part of a broad range of TimelyCare's digital health services that are extended to members of higher education, primarily college students. As a Full-Time Licensed Clinical Therapist with TimelyCare, you will offer therapy for the members we serve, partnering with them to identify their needs, collaborate and develop treatment plans, and guide them, when necessary, to other appropriate TimelyCare services (Medical, Psychiatry, etc.). 

We have a mental health team that consists of Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Clinical Psychologists. TimelyCare will also provide licensure expansion in states of need.    Location We offer a remote work environment. Work from Home criteria include but are not limited to maintaining your own internet with approved speed requirements, secure workspace free from distractions, and successful completion of the training program. Adherence to HIPAA and governmental compliance are required in this role.   Schedule Monday–Friday business hours

What You'll Do

  • Provide therapeutic counseling services and treatment planning to a primarily young adult population
  • Document concurrently and submit HIPAA compliant documentation using TimelyCare's electronic health record
  • Develop and submit treatment plans and progress notes following each session
  • Communicate cross-functionally with other teams/departments in order to support care continuation as needed
  • Adhere to established standards for documentation quality and code of ethics
  • Work with the student/client to establish and develop treatment goals and document accordingly
  • Utilize active listening skills and evidence-based modalities (SFBT, CBT, DBT, MI, ACT) in order to build rapport, establish boundaries, and progress student/client care
  • Submit appropriate documentation in the EHR (the TimelyCare platform) in a punctual manner

What You Bring

  • Required: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Associate therapists are not applicable for this position at this time.
  • Preferred: Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, LP/LCP)
  • Strong clinical documentation, assessment, and active listening skills
  • Experience with crisis intervention/de-escalation and safety/treatment planning
  • Background in providing services to young adults, adolescents, at at-risk populations, and/or experience working in community mental health, crisis triage, or a college counseling environment
  • Active state license in Illinois
