Anda Adams has held a number of positions in the education sector since 2005. Anda began as a Program Associate for the Council of Women World Leaders at The Aspen Institute in 2005. Anda then worked as an Education Track Manager for the Clinton Global Initiative in 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they worked at The Brookings Institution in two roles, first as an Associate Director for the Center for Universal Education and then as Deputy Director for the same center. In 2009, they began a Doctor of Education Leadership program at Harvard University Graduate School of Education, which they completed in 2012. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as the Director of Teaching and Learning at Bellingham Public Schools. Anda then worked as an Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction at Cambridge Public Schools from 2016 to 2019. In 2020, they took on the role of Leader at Tinkergarten, and most recently, they were appointed as the Chief Academic Officer at White River Valley Supervisory Union in 2021.
Anda Adams obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from Brown University in 2000. Anda then went on to earn a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University in 2007. In 2012, they graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Education with a Doctor of Education Leadership. In 2019, they obtained a Massachusetts Initial Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent License from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Finally, in 2020, they obtained a Professional Educator License - Superintendent from the Vermont Agency of Education.
