Hery Herdiyana Ong has had a diverse range of work experiences. Hery started their career in 2014 with internships in marketing and operations at Edgecombe Brothers Winery Perth and Russell Ord Photography. Hery also interned as an art and music teacher at Margaret River Primary School. In 2015, they worked as a surveyor for the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), conducting interviews and maintaining survey standards. In the same year, they were a marketing analyst at Shopee, analyzing competitor marketing and sales materials.

In 2016, Hery joined Tokopedia, one of Indonesia's biggest online marketplaces, as a customer experience associate, focusing on identifying and tracing suspicious transactions. Hery also became a Pengajar Muda (community development facilitator) at Gerakan Indonesia Mengajar, where they taught in remote areas for one year.

Hery then transitioned to Bukalapak in 2018, initially as a supervisor of service quality management and later as a customer experience manager. In these roles, they coordinated and managed various units within Operations, implemented metrics to measure business performance, and improved procedures and policies to achieve customer satisfaction.

In 2022, Hery joined TipTip as a customer excellence associate, where they are currently working.

Hery Herdiyana Ong started their education at Universitas Paramadina in 2011 and completed their studies in 2015. During this time, they pursued a field of study in Business Administration and Management, focusing on general management skills. Additionally, in 2014, Hery participated in the Australia Indonesia Youth Exchange Program (AIYEP), where they delved into subjects related to Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
