Rareș Cosma

Rares Cosma is a Senior DevOps Engineer at Toca Boca since 2023. Prior to this, they founded getbetter.ro in 2016 where they hold the position of Founder. From 2017 to 2021, Rares worked at Klarna as a Senior DevOps Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer. Rareș was responsible for developing and overseeing robust data frameworks and software used by multiple teams. Before that, Rares worked as a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer at Sony Mobile Communications from 2014 to 2016. Rareș led the production platform and microservice development and implemented various improvements to the infrastructure and pipeline. Rares has also held positions as a Software Engineer at W3 EDGE from 2012 to 2014 and as a Linux Specialist and Freelance Web Developer at getbetter.ro from 2005 to 2014. Earlier in their career, Rares worked as a Frontend Engineer at Addition from 2011 to 2012 and as a Full Stack Web Developer at Forward Inc. from 2006 to 2009.

Rareș Cosma has an education history that includes a Master's Degree from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, where they studied Telecommunications & Multimedia Technologies from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they participated in an Erasmus Mobility program at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2007 to 2008, focusing on Telecommunications & Information Theory. Rareș also obtained an Engineer's Degree in Digital Networks, Telecommunications & Information Theory from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca from 2003 to 2008. Additionally, Rareș Cosma completed their high school education in Natural Sciences at Colegiul National "George Cosbuc" from 1999 to 2002.
