Lorenz Erik Wittjen

Lorenz Erik Wittjen has a diverse and extensive work experience. Lorenz Erik started their career as a scientific assistant at Beiten Burkhardt in 2007. Lorenz Erik then worked as a referendar at German Federal Parliament from June 2009 to September 2009. Following that, they had a referendar/trainee legal placement role at VZnet Ltd, Germany's biggest social network, from November 2009 to April 2010. Lorenz Erik also had another referendar/trainee legal placement at Olswang from July 2010 to September 2010.

In 2011, Lorenz joined Hambach & Hambach Rechtsanwälte PartG mbB as an associate for a short duration. Later in the same year, they became an associate at SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte, where they specialized in IT law, internet, and e-business.

Lorenz Erik then transitioned into the eCommerce industry, joining Westwing Group GmbH in 2012 as a General Legal Counsel. Lorenz Erik held this role until January 2020. During their time at Westwing, they were involved in serving 19 million members in 14 countries, inspiring them with stylish furniture and accessories from well-known brands.

From January 2020 to September 2022, Lorenz served as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Westwing Group AG, a fast-growing eCommerce player that serves over 1 million active customers in the EU. Lorenz Erik provided legal advice and compliance support to senior management, C-level executives, and boards.

Lorenz's most recent position is as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Tomorrow GmbH, a sustainable banking player with a highly-rated banking app. Lorenz Erik started in January 2022 and is currently serving in this role. Lorenz Erik is responsible for legal counsel, compliance, and IT support within the company.

Lorenz Erik Wittjen began their education in 2003 at the University of Potsdam, where they pursued a degree in Law. Lorenz Erik completed their studies in 2008, earning the title of Assessor. Additionally, in 2005 and 2006, Lorenz participated in an Erasmus program at Université Nanterre Paris X, focusing on Law.
