Elizabeth Nierstedt

Elizabeth Nierstedt, MPH, MSW, currently serves as the Public Health Preparedness Coordinator and Public Health Graduate Fellow at Tompkins County since September 2023. Elizabeth has extensive experience in crisis management and program development, having previously held roles such as Consultant at ENpower Consulting, Survivor Support Services Program Manager at Planned Parenthood of Greater New York, and Domestic Violence Shelter Director at The Salvation Army. Key achievements include merging programs for enhanced efficiency, leading diverse teams, implementing quality improvement processes, and advocating for victims of sexual violence. Elizabeth's educational background includes dual master's degrees in Social Work and Public Health from Columbia University, complemented by a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Arizona State University.
