David Mallard

David Mallard's work experience includes various roles in mechanical engineering and product design. David worked as the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Tonal, where they managed a team of engineers and led cross-functional collaboration on the development of electromechanical products. David also served as an Investor & Advisor at Tonal and as an Advisor at Core Wellness, Inc. Prior to that, David was the VP of Engineering at Bolt and a Product Design Engineer at Apple, where they worked on iPad covers and other products. David started their career at IDEO as a Client/Project/Engineering Lead. David also has experience as an inventor at Tavo Gloves and as a Project Manager and Design Engineer at 4sight inc. David began their career as a Design Engineer at IDEO Palo Alto and a Teaching Assistant at Stanford University. David also worked as a Bicycle Mechanic at UC Davis Bike Barn.

David Mallard earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1998. Prior to that, they attended San Marcos High School from 1989 to 1993. Mallard then pursued a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University from 1999 to 2001. David also briefly studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Davis from 1998 to 1999.
