Ligia Margarida Marques Mesquita, Ph.D.

Ligia Margarida Marques Mesquita, Ph.D. has been working since 2010. Ligia Margarida began their career at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra, where they completed a Master degree in Industrial Pharmaceutical Chemistry with a Master Thesis in Industrial Pharmaceutical Chemistry titled "New Sustainable Processes Catalyzed by Acids with Interest in Pharmaceutical Industry" under the supervision of Professor Jorge António Ribeiro Salvador, PhD. In 2013, they moved to ITQB-UNL as a Researcher. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a PhD student at Technische Universität Kaiserslautern. Currently, they are employed as a Research Scientist at Topas Therapeutics GmbH.

Ligia Margarida Marques Mesquita, Ph.D. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra between 2007 and 2010. Ligia Margarida also attended several additional certifications, including the 10th ISMSC in 2015, 10th Inorganic Chemistry Conference in 2014, Alternatives to animal use in pre-clinical studies workshop in 2012, Coimbra Innate Immunity SPI Workshop in 2012, Starbon's day in 2012, 3rd Immunity and Infection Meeting in 2009, and Commemorative Days of the 30th anniversary of Biochemistry Degree in Coimbra in 2009.
