David McCann

David McCann has a diverse work experience in software engineering. David started their career at Insiders Technologies GmbH in 2008, where they were a software engineer responsible for developing and maintaining the core components of an enterprise document-analysis system. At this company, they implemented algorithms for text-based classification of documents and enhanced and maintained a domain-specific programming language interpreter. David worked there until 2012.

After that, David joined the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute at the University of Utah as a Graduate Research Assistant. Their role involved designing and developing the network communication layer of a system for visualizing medical data. David also undertook the redesign of a mobile app for the visualization of data used in deep brain stimulation. Their time at the institute lasted from March 2016 to July 2016.

Next, David co-founded Redkea UG in 2016 and worked as a Co-Founder and Software Engineer. David remained with the company until August 2017.

From October 2017 to April 2019, David worked at consistec Engineering & Consulting GmbH as a Software Engineer.

Most recently, David joined TOPdesk in June 2019 as a Software Engineer.

David McCann obtained their Diplom-Informatiker degree in Informatik from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. David later pursued a Master's degree in Philosophy from Universität des Saarlandes, completing their studies from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, they obtained the iSAQB® Certified Professional for Software Architecture - Foundation Level certification from Certible in April 2022.
