Sarath Surya

Sarath Surya has over 15 years of work experience, starting from 2005. Sarath worked at various companies and held several managerial positions in the technology industry. Sarath's most recent position was as a Principal Engineering Manager at Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, where they led a global team focused on building next-generation retail solutions for big retailers worldwide. Prior to that, they worked at Siemens PLM Software as a Senior Software Development Engineering Manager, where they played a key role in advancing IoT, big data, and machine learning technologies. Sarath also worked at Fidelity Investments as a Principal-Senior Manager of Software Development, focusing on leading the enterprise search team and redesigning trading platforms. Sarath started their career at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they held multiple roles as a Services Information Developer and Senior Curam Certified Java Developer, working on projects for California Department of Social Services and NJCASS Healthcare System. Sarath also had experience at Ericsson as a Senior Software Engineer and at Sabre Corporation as a Software and Application System Analyst.

Sarath Surya received their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Information Technology from the University of Madras from 1999 to 2003. Sarath pursued their Masters (M.S) in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Arlington, completing it from 2003 to 2006. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they attended Purdue University's Krannert School of Business, where they obtained an Executive MBA degree. In terms of additional certifications, Sarath obtained the SAS Event Stream Processing (Advanced Analytics) certification from SAS in October 2019 and became a Certified Scrum Product Owner through the Scrum Alliance in September 2016. Sarath also holds the IBM Curam Certified Developer certification.
