Analytical Development Scientist at Touchlight Genetics

Rebeca Cimaroli's work experience begins with their current role as a Protein Scientist at Touchlight, a position they started in January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Portsmouth where they held multiple roles. Rebeca was an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Centre for Enzyme Innovation from September 2019 to May 2020, conducting research on the effects of biosurfactants on PETase-catalytic activity. Rebeca also worked as a Catering Assistant at Oceanarium the Bournemouth Aquarium from June 2016 to March 2017, delivering excellent customer service and gaining experience in cashiering and handling work under pressure.

Rebeca's work experience began in 2014 when they volunteered as a staff member at Hogar de ancianos santa ana. In this role, they assisted elderly residents with various daily tasks including personal care, shopping, cleaning, cooking, and medication management.

Rebeca Cimaroli has a solid education background in the field of Biochemistry. Rebeca completed their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at the University of Portsmouth from 2017 to 2020. Following that, they pursued further specialization in the field by enrolling in the University of Portsmouth for a Master of Research (MRes) degree in Biochemistry - Enzyme Engineering. Rebeca is currently expected to graduate from their Master's program in 2022.
