Job description

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Telco Project Manager in our Singapore office.

Responsibilities

The Telco Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing the full delivery lifecycle of new services (circuits, cross-connects, colocation) and ensuring time-sensitive deadlines are met
  • Engaging with financial exchanges to understand new market data & order entry solutions and communicating these offerings internally to the relevant stakeholders
  • Communicating with stakeholders on the status of tasks and workflows; updating internal customers, and setting accurate expectations
  • Working with Telco and DC vendors to coordinate deliverables, scheduling testing, manage troubleshooting and validate billing
  • Managing the internal databases to accurately reflect service, system, and vendor records
  • Monitoring ticketing systems for incoming requests and tasks
  • Collaborating with Tower networking and infrastructure teams
  • Being the single point of contact for all administrative and operational questions
  • Contributing to vendor service reviews
  • Supporting large-scale projects and coordinating all aspect related to Telecom
  • Identifying solutions aligned with business requirements that may:
    • Lower costs
    • Lower latency
    • Increase performance/availability
    • Identify new carriers or providers emerging in APAC
  • Building, maintaining and growing relationships with key vendors through regular meetings and attending the appropriate industry events
  • Staying current on emerging carrier solutions and developments and changes at the key financial exchanges in the region

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-5 years experience in relevant industry (Telecom, Data Provider, Exchange, FinTech)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field advantageous
  • Experience in managing multiple work streams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills,
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications (Ethernet, IP, etc.) and/or data center (power, space, cross-connects)
  • Experience with vendor engagement and management
  • Demonstrated ability for thoroughness, attention to detail, and good judgment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities at the same time while remaining calm and composed
  • This position will require occasional on-call, holiday, night, and/or weekend work to support projects in non-trading hours
