Julie Clarke has a diverse work experience, primarily in the public sector. Julie began their career in 2006 as a Manager in the Programs Unit of the Youth and New Professionals Secretariat within the Ministry of Government Services. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Manager in the HR Strategic Business Unit at the Ontario Ministry of Government Services. Julie then joined ServiceOntario, where they served as a Manager in the HR Strategic Business Unit from 2011 to 2013, and later as a Director of Human Resources from 2013 to 2015. Subsequently, Clarke worked at the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services as the Director of the Strategic Human Resources Branch from 2015 to 2016. Their latest position was with the Town of Oakville, where they held various roles including Director of Human Resources from 2016 to 2020 and Director of Strategic Initiatives and Communications from 2020 to 2022. Julie is currently serving as the Director of Strategy, Policy, and Communications at the Town of Oakville.
Julie Clarke completed their Hon BA in History from McMaster University from 1992 to 1996. Julie then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Queen's University, attending from 1996 to 1997.
