Allyson Demaagd

Allyson DeMaagd, PhD, currently serves as the Sexual and Gender Diversity Coordinator at Towson University since December 2023, following a role as College Success Manager at Talbot Mentors from March 2021 to December 2023. Previous experience includes positions as Teaching Assistant Professor at Ball State University and Assistant Director of the Eberly Writing Studio at West Virginia University, where responsibilities encompassed recruiting and mentoring staff, creating workshops, and collaborating with faculty to enhance educational resources. Additional teaching roles were held at Muskegon Community College and in other educational settings. Allyson DeMaagd began a distinguished career as a Cryptologic Linguist/Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where essential duties involved handling sensitive communications and managing personnel. Allyson DeMaagd earned a PhD in English Language and Literature from West Virginia University, complemented by an M.A. and B.A. from Grand Valley State University, along with a diploma in Basic Spanish Language from the Defense Language Institute.
